Questions about arrival and departure

What time do I have to check in?

On the day of arrival at 15:00 you will receive the code of the key box by e-mail from this time you can check in, earlier is not possible but later is no problem.

What time should I check out?

Check-out must be done before 10:00 am on the day of departure.

When will I receive my travel information?

You will receive your travel information by e-mail one week before arrival. Here you will find all the information you need for check-in. You can also find all information in My Environment. Are you booking a last minute? Then you will receive the travel information within a day.

Can I enter my Houseboat earlier?

No, unfortunately that is not possible. The accommodations are available from 3:00 PM. We need until 3 p.m. to clean and check all homes.

Can I also arrive later?

No problem at 15:00 you will receive the code for the key safe and with that you can also check in later!

When will I receive the code for the key box to open the door?

On the day of arrival at 15:00 you will receive the code for the key box by e-mail.

 

Questions about payment

When do I have to pay?

There are two payment moments: Immediately upon booking and eight weeks before arrival. When booking you pay 30% of the travel sum. Eight weeks before arrival you pay the remaining 70%. Unless you book with an arrival date within eight weeks. Then you pay the entire travel sum in one go.

How do I have to pay

We work with payment provider Mollie. When booking you will be given a choice of various payment options. Such as: iDeal, Credit Card, Bank Contact, Transfer, Paypal, Sofort Payment, etc.

There are two payment moments: immediately upon booking and eight weeks before arrival. With an outstanding payment you will receive an email from us with the payment options.

My payment is not successful

Please try making the payment via a different internet browser. If it still doesn't work, send an e-mail to info@hurenhouseboat.nl

Account after payment by credit card

You have submitted your credit card details and still receive an invoice. How is this possible? When booking through a tour operator (such as Booking.com), you will be asked for your credit card details. But you don't pay through your credit card. The credit card details are requested as a guarantee. That is why you will receive an invoice from us, with which you can make a down payment and/or final payment.

 

Questions about the booking

Is a booking definitive immediately?

Yes, a booking is immediately final. But: You can cancel free of charge within 24 hours. Need some more time to think? With an option we hold the accommodation for you for a maximum of 5 days, without obligations.

How old do I have to be to book?

You must be at least 18 years old to book.

What is my reservation?

My Reservation is the digital environment where you can view the details of your booking, book extras and find more information about your accommodation and destination.

The reservation confirmation you receive from us by e-mail contains a link to My Environment or My Reservation. This gives you direct access to your My Reservation.

Or go to renting a houseboat/my-reservation. Use the e-mail address you used to book with us to log in. Did you not receive an email with an access link? Not even in your spam or unwanted e-mail? Then it is possible that another e-mail address is linked to your booking. For example, because you have booked with another party. In that case, email us at info@hurenhouseboat.nl. We will then link the correct e-mail address to your booking so that you have access to My Reservation.

How do I take an option?

You can take an option on an accommodation. You arrange this yourself on our website. If you view our offer on the website, you will see the 'book now' button on the right side of the screen. Below that is the button 'take option'.

With an option we hold the accommodation for you for 5 days. Within that period you can convert the option into a reservation. If you do nothing, the option automatically expires after five days. An option is only possible with an arrival date in 6 weeks (or longer). You can place an option with a maximum of 4 accommodations. If more is desired, please contact us.

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, a maximum of two pets are allowed in the Houseboat. You pay a surcharge for bringing your pet. You can see what that surcharge is in the price overview when booking.

Pay attention that:

  • Your pets must not lie on furniture and/or beds
  • Your pet is kept on a leash outside the enclosed garden
  • Other guests do not experience noise disturbance

Where can I find the information folder?

Is there WIFI in the Houseboat

A WIFI network is available at all houseboats. You will receive the login details in the check-in information (which you will receive by e-mail a week in advance) and can be found in the digital guest folder info.hurenhouseboat.nl .

Can I have a barbecue during my stay?

Unfortunately, given the danger, this is not allowed.

More people allowed?

For safety reasons, it is not allowed to stay in the accommodation with more people than for which the accommodation is intended.

When booking, always indicate how many children, adults, babies and pets your travel group consists of. Our booking system automatically keeps track of whether your travel group fits into the accommodation.

Can I receive visitors during my stay?

Receiving visitors during the day is no problem, but it is not allowed to invite large groups of people.

Damaged something. What should I do?

Annoying! Mail us the description of the damage: info@hurenhouseboat.nl We look at what is needed next. Unfortunately, we have to charge for damage incurred. Except for normal traces of use, of course. A broken cup can happen. In any case, let us know so that we can put the accommodation back in order for the next user.

Tip: Have you yet to start your journey? Make sure you are insured. Liability or travel insurance may cover the cost of damage to a holiday accommodation, depending on the terms of the insurance policy.

 

Changes & Cancellation

Cancel reservation


These are our standard cancellation conditions:

In case of cancellation, costs will only be charged on the rental price. You will be refunded the additional costs.


* In case of cancellation more than 93 days before the commencement date: 15%

* If canceled 94 to 62 days before arrival date: 50%

* If canceled 62 to 31 days before arrival date: 75%

* If canceled 31 days before the arrival date: 90%

* In case of cancellation on the day of arrival, the cancellation costs are 100%


Did you book through another platform (such as Tui or Booking.com)? Then the conditions and cancellation costs of the tour operator apply. You cancel with the organization where you booked.

Tip: Are you going to book soon? We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance. Depending on the terms of your insurance policy, you may be able to get a refund if you need to cancel.


Adjust reservation
After making your reservation you can change your name and the number of people free of charge. You can report these changes by e-mail at info@hurenhouseboat.nl 

We call adjusting the period rebooking. That is not possible with us.

If you have booked through another party (such as Booking.com or delicioushuisjes.nl), you can adjust your reservation through that organization. The conditions of that organization apply.
